Kneeboard ("the app") is provided by digiXL Inc. This explains what the app collects and why.
Records are stored in Apple iCloud (CloudKit) — in your private database and in zones shared only with the instructor(s) or student(s) you are linked to — and locally on your device. digiXL Inc. does not run its own servers for this data, with one exception: the text of a lesson debrief passes through a small proxy server we operate solely to protect our AI-service credentials in transit — it is not stored there.
We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Training records belong to the student and travel with them. You can delete your account and data in the app (Settings → App → Delete Account) or end an instructor–student link at any time.

Kneeboard helps flight instructors and students record lessons and track training progress. It is a memory and organization aid.
Kneeboard is NOT an official logbook or record of flight time. The student's FAA logbook and the instructor's own logbook remain the authoritative records. Do not rely on Kneeboard for regulatory compliance.
Lesson summaries are generated by AI from your spoken debrief and may contain errors. Always review and edit before saving. Proficiency and sign-offs are confirmed by the instructor, never by the app alone.
